Recently we had a wedding at the Dallas Scottish Rite. This wedding turned out to be anything but ordinary-it quickly became extraordinary.
Instantly our Gil’s Elegant Catering team realized that a very fun and unique group of people were attending this wedding and reception. The grooms family is from Nigeria, with that came the most beautiful clothing and wardrobes you could ever see. I was dazzled by the women’s stunning head pieces and their sparkling layered dresses. Along with the women’s beautiful garb, came some of the men who also sported the traditional Nigerian clothing. Everyone looked simply spectatular, with the colors giving life to the ballroom, while simultaneously adding festivity.
Other Nigerian customs that were present included the throwing of money, traditional rice dish, and some West African music.
This wedding, is one for the books, and one I will never forget.
